Privacy at This Counter

At quirkypenguincornerbr.christmas, operated by Quirky Penguin Corner Salon Ltd. (Company No. 14892031, 19 Fournier Street, Spitalfields, London E1 6QE), we treat reader privacy with the same restraint we apply to counter design: we collect only what is strictly necessary and never crowd the experience with hidden trackers.

1. Information We Do Not Collect Automatically

This website is built with static HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. We do not embed third-party behavioral advertising scripts, cross-site tracking pixels, or external font-hosting trackers. When you read our counter styling and zero-proof drink guides, your browsing session remains private.

2. Client-Side Contact Note Builder

The interactive inquiry formatter on our Contact page executes entirely inside your web browser's local memory. The text you enter into the form fields is formatted locally so you can copy it to your clipboard or download it as a .txt file. None of the text typed into that builder is transmitted to our servers unless you voluntarily send it to us via email at [email protected].

3. Direct Email Correspondence

If you choose to email our editorial desk directly, we receive your email address, name, and the contents of your message under the lawful basis of legitimate interest (responding to your inquiry under UK GDPR and EU GDPR). We retain editorial correspondence for up to 12 months before permanently deleting the thread, and we never sell, rent, or share reader email addresses with external marketing lists.

4. Server Logs & Security

Our hosting infrastructure maintains standard, short-lived HTTP access logs (recording anonymized IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, and user-agent strings) strictly to mitigate distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks and diagnose broken links. These logs are rotated and purged automatically within 14 days.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of any personal correspondence you have sent to our studio. Simply write to [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request."
